Glossika is an online language learning platform that utilizes a repetitive learning method to help users become familiar with the language they want to learn through sentence repetition.

The current onboarding process lacks user engagement and product guidance. Users often feel confused when directed to the dashboard without explanations, leading to potential frustration and product abandonment.

Our goal is to provide users with a brief overview of the learning method and guide them to start practicing without any obstacles.

User Flow

The current user flow leaves the user on the dashboard right after completing the registration process, expecting them to explore features on their own. For users unfamiliar with our methods, it can be challenging to know where to start or what to expect.

Registration - A process to engage the user.
Start training - Initiating the use of features without distractions from other elements.
Dashboard - Providing an overview of the learning process, achievements, and entry points for sessions.

Registration

We begin the onboarding process by posing easily answerable questions to users, ensuring a welcoming approach without causing intimidation. Additionally, it helps us gain insights into the user's background.

Setting up reminders can enhance user engagement for return visits to learn.

We also provide example sentences to showcase our learning method.

Start Training

We direct users to start a short session right after registration. This is designed to guide them through our learning method and provide a sense of accomplishment upon registering with us.

Dashboard

After the session, we lead our users to the dashboard. They can clearly see the two learning methods - Learn and Review. The previous architecture separated these into two tabs, causing space inefficiency and requiring users to toggle back and forth to review their learning progress. Achievements, meant to encourage users and evoke a sense of accomplishment, were placed on its own tab, relying on users to discover the content.

Our approach is to combine these - Learn, Review, and Achievements - on the dashboard to provide users with an overview of their progress and easy access to start practicing.
